C.L Cook’s passion for writing stems from her desire to invite her readers on an adventure that explores humanity's core values, societal issues, and complex relationships. Her dream is to inspire and engage readers to do great things for good reasons.
Throughout her stroll through life, C.L. has sought out artistic ways to help others and make a positive impact on the world. One of her very first acts toward making a contribution to society was receiving her Bachelor's degree in Middle Level Education and persuing the art of teaching.
While a deep rooted passion for education runs deeply within C.L. Cook, writing has always been her first love. Not long after becoming a teacher, Cook was also inspired by her son's big heart and love for monsters to create the Zombie Kid books. Her mission for her free children's books is to aide younger children to understand complex social issues, cope with big feelings, and engage in family relationships in a context that they could comprehend.
Currently, Cook works at a virtual charter school, where she is a District Data Coordinator. Her time is split between helping grow students toward proficiency, being a mom, and writing. While she continues to donate her free children's books to classrooms, libraries, and charities- she is also working on expanding her horizons with an adult fantasy novel set in a steampunk world that she hopes to finish sometime in 2020.
